Get to Know Us

A blocked wastewater‑line crisis—and years of watching dye‑laden rinse water vanish down factory drains—showed me that award‑winning science does little unless people can see, touch, and wear its impact. After my biodegradable hydrogel won the 2025 Stockholm Junior Water Prize for reclaiming textile dyes, I founded Hydrodyed to make fashion the bridge between research and real‑world application. By absorbing industrial pigments, our self‑cleaning hydrogel purifies wastewater, then re‑infuses those colors into hand‑knit coasters, globes, and one‑of‑a‑kind tees. Every piece diverts liters of contaminated water, sparks conversations about circular design, and funds clean‑water initiatives—proving that laboratory breakthroughs can stride straight onto the runway and into everyday life.

Our Team.

Behind every step of this project is a team that turned ideas into reality. From creative design to outreach and storytelling, each member played a role in taking hydrogel research beyond the lab and into the world. I’m grateful to lead this group of collaborators who prove that innovation isn’t just about technology — it’s about people coming together, each offering their own perspective, to build something larger than any one of us could create alone.

Our process

At DyeCycled, we turn textile wastewater into vibrant dye through a self-cleaning hydrogel dyeing process. By capturing and reusing spent dyes, we cut down on water pollution and give new life to industrial runoff.
