From wastewater to wool: shop our hydrogel-dyed knits—sustainable style that cleans water.
About Us
Weaving Sustainability into Every Stitch
What if wastewater became art instead of pollution? At DyeCycled, we use a self‑cleaning hydrogel process to reclaim textile dyes and hand‑dye vibrant yarn. Our coasters, globes, and t-shirts showcase circular design—turning industrial runoff into eco‑friendly knit creations. By choosing us, you support clean‑water solutions and sustainable craftsmanship.
Our Story
What began as a high‑school research project quickly turned into award‑winning innovation. I spent months designing and testing a self‑cleaning hydrogel that selectively adsorbs textile dyes—using both computational modeling and lab‑scale experiments to optimize dye uptake and release.
That work culminated in winning the Stockholm Junior Water Prize, where my hydrogel system was recognized for its real‑world potential to clean industrial dye wastewater. Inspired by the life-changing experiences there, I founded DyeCycled to transform reclaimed dyes into hand‑dyed knit creations—bridging cutting‑edge research with sustainable craftsmanship.
With the support of various school clubs and their dedicated leaders—from the Art Club to the Journalism club—I was able to successfully share my vision, build a working website, and bring the project to life. Their collaboration helped transform DyeCycled from a research idea into a tangible, community-driven initiative.
